2026 Toyota
Corolla Cross
Toyota has been busy lately, and one result is the refreshed Corolla Cross. The 2026 version of this Alabama-built subcompact crossover is showing off updates inside and out, starting with a more prominent geometric-patterned grille framed by a redesigned front fascia. The reconfigured center console creates more usable front-row storage space, while the list of available technology upgrades includes a larger 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Since day one, the Corolla Cross has provided a clever combination of car-like handling, crossover versatility, and value. The 2026 model year reinforces these values. Meanwhile, standard ToyotaCare includes two years or 25,000 miles of standard scheduled maintenance and two years of unlimited-mileage roadside assistance. Toyota also makes the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid, which we cover on its own page.

The 2026 Corolla Cross trim trio consists of the L, LE, and XLE. They have a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that Toyota pairs with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). All grades have standard front-wheel drive (FWD) with all-wheel drive (AWD) as an option.
The EPA-estimated fuel economy varies by drivetrain. With FWD, this Toyota is rated for 29 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. AWD changes the ratings to 29 mpg in town and 31 mpg on the open road. The Corolla Cross has 24 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats (21.5 cubic feet with AWD). Regardless of drivetrain, the maximum towing capacity is 1,500 pounds.
