While the minivan segment has tightened up in recent years, the Sienna continues to stand out, distinguishing itself with best-in-class fuel efficiency (up to 36 mpg) and an available all-wheel drivetrain that sets it apart from most of the competition. Its broad lineup offers something for every family’s lifestyle. The entry-level LE is practical, with seating for up to eight passengers, while the sporty XSE boasts a specially tuned suspension and steering. The Woodland Edition is outfitted for adventure with a tad more ground clearance and a tow hitch receiver, and the top-of-the-line Platinum comes with extra comforts, including a built-in vacuum and FridgeBox that help make it the ultimate family hauler.
Toyota has made some changes to how the Sienna’s amenities are distributed, dropping its trim-specific “Plus” and “Premium” packages and making many previously optional upgrades standard on the lower grades instead. For example, the base LE now comes with a power liftgate, a power moonroof, an 8-speaker audio system, and third-row window shades. The mid-grade XLE and XSE both receive a 12.3-inch touchscreen, which the XSE complements with 12-speaker JBL audio. As for styling, all trims except the outdoorsy Woodland Edition are now available in the automaker’s Heavy Metal exterior color.
