2026 Toyota bZ
2026 Toyota
bZ
The 2026 Toyota bZ introduces a new chapter for the brand’s all-electric crossover with a simplified name and meaningful updates. Dropping the “4X” from the original bZ4X name streamlines the vehicle’s identity while maintaining the bZ (Beyond Zero) sub-brand. On the outside, the five-seater brings a sharper look with slimmer LED daytime running lights, a reworked front fascia, and redesigned front overfenders that can be finished with color-matched accents for a cleaner profile.
Beyond the styling changes, the 2026 bZ gives its buyers improved drivability and charging convenience. A reengineered battery system delivers as much as 50% more horsepower and extended range (now up to 314 miles). At the same time, the bZ’s standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) port opens access to thousands of high-speed stations. A new onboard AC charger also increases home and workplace charging capacity, while pre-conditioning technology maintains efficiency in colder weather. The cabin has been refreshed with a slimmer dashboard, a reorganized console, and added tech touches such as a standard 14-inch multimedia display, customizable ambient lighting, and dual wireless charging pads.
This overview highlights the 2026 Toyota bZ's current lineup. The forthcoming bZ Woodland Edition, which is distinguished by more ruggedized features, will be included closer to its early 2026 production date.

Toyota offers the bZ in two trims: XLE and Limited. Both have a 74.7 kWh battery and come standard with single-motor front-wheel drive (FWD); dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) is an option. The FWD configuration produces 221 total horsepower and provides an estimated range of 314 miles with the XLE and 299 miles with the Limited. With AWD, total horsepower increases to 288, and the range dips to 288 miles for the XLE and 278 miles for the Limited. The integrated NACS port enables Level 3/DC fast charging from low battery warning to 80% in about 30 minutes using a 150 kW charger. Cargo capacity behind the second row is 38.1 cubic feet, but that can be expanded to 56.1 cubic feet behind the first row by folding down the rear seatbacks.
