Trims and Powertrains

The 2025 RAV4 is offered as the LE, XLE, XLE Premium, and Limited. The four trims have the same powertrain: a 203-horsepower 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, which many drivers prefer to the continuously variable transmission found on a lot of rivals. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is an option.

With front-wheel drive, every RAV4 trim returns 27 mpg around town and 35 mpg on the highway. With AWD, the LE achieves 27 city/34 highway while the XLE Premium gets 27 city/33 highway With the weight of its additional standard equipment, the Limited with all-wheel drive is rated for 25 city/33 highway. All trim levels of the ’25 RAV4 can tow as much as 1,500 pounds when they’re equipped properly.

Standard Features

The base LE has cloth seats with a 6-way manually adjustable driver's seat and 4-way adjustable passenger seat, remote keyless entry, projector-style LED headlights, LED taillights, power-adjustable exterior mirrors, 7-inch digital gauge cluster, three drive modes, an intermittent rear window wiper, a rear liftgate window defogger, a telescopic steering wheel, and 17-inch steel wheels. Three USB ports and separate ports for auxiliary and AC power are also included.

The XLE adds exterior styling with black roof rails, a body-colored upper front bumper, and black accents on the bumpers and fenders. It also gets proximity keyless entry, automatic on/off LED headlights, dual-zone climate control with rear-seat vents, eight-way adjustability for the driver’s seat, push-button ignition, heated power exterior mirrors with integrated turn indicators, an extra auxiliary outlet, five USB ports, a cargo-area cover, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It’s eligible for two significant optional packages. The XLE Convenience Package will add a moonroof and a height-adjustable power liftgate, while the Weather Package supplies heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and rain-sensing wipers.

The XLE Premium adds the power moonroof and power liftgate along with integrated LED fog lights, SofTex synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an overhead console with sunglasses storage, an upgraded Smart Key system with remote start and remote tailgate opening, and 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with a metallic finish. The XLE Premium Weather Package is available to furnish heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers with de-icer, and driver’s-side position memory.

The Limited receives heated and ventilated front seats with memory, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an active grille shutter, a rear spoiler, and a hexagon-patterned grille. This topmost trim qualifies for some optional packages as well. The Weather Package adds a heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, and rain-sensing wipers with de-icer), and the Advanced Technology Package contains a motion-activated power liftgate, enhanced proximity keyless entry, a surround-view monitor, and wireless device charging). Buyers can also order a digital rearview mirror and a panoramic glass roof with a front power moonroof.

Safety and Driver-Assist Technology

The standard version of the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 technology suite includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, full-speed range dynamic cruise control, and road sign assist.

Rear-cross traffic alert is an option on the LE and standard on the other trims. Front and rear braking assist with automatic braking is standard on the Limited trim and an option on the XLE Premium. A 360-degree panoramic view monitor is also available on Limited via the Advanced Technology Package. All trims are equipped with a backup camera, eight airbags, trailer-sway control, hill start assist, a vehicle stability control system, traction control, and anti-lock brakes.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The first three trims get an 8-inch touchscreen and a six-speaker sound system, but the Limited upgrades to a 10.5-inch screen and a JBL unit with 11 speakers, a subwoofer, and an amplifier (those upgrades are optional for the XLE Premium). Every trim gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Toyota also offers subscription-based tech services on all RAV4 trims, including Wi-Fi Connect and Drive Connect. The Limited comes with a 1-year trial to Remote Connect and Drive Connect with navigation.
