Calling the Toyota RAV4 popular is an understatement. The 2026 RAV4 expands on the successful compact crossover formula by introducing a ruggedized exterior marked by a muscular front end and chiseled side panels. Most significantly, the RAV4 moves to an all-hybrid powertrain, the same approach that Toyota took last model year with the Camry. The resulting improvement is two-fold: an increase in horsepower (over 10% more than last year’s base gasoline-only engine) and a fuel economy rating of up to 48 mpg.
Toyota also gave the cabin equal attention, creating a welcoming space for five that features ample legroom, generous headroom, and a maximized cargo area. The interior also boasts the newest technology, including a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a next-generation infotainment system. Driver-assistance is delivered through the latest version of the Toyota Safety Sense platform, with improved pre-collision and lane-tracing capabilities.
