The 2025 Toyota Tundra is offered in seven trims: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. The SR trim features an i-Force twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine, producing 358 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque. From SR5 through the 1794 Edition, a 389-horsepower version of this engine is used, generating 479 lb.-ft. of torque. The i-Force MAX hybrid powertrain, standard on TRD Pro and Capstone and optional on Limited, Platinum, and 1974 Edition, delivers 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard on most trims, with an optional on-demand four-wheel-drive system included with the TRD Pro and Capstone.
The available cab configurations include the CrewMax (four standard doors) with a 5.5-foot bed, which can be ordered across all trims. The SR5, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition also offer a CrewMax with a standard 6.5-foot bed. The Double Cab (two standard front doors, two rear-access doors) with the standard bed or the 8.1-foot bed is offered for the SR and SR5.
The EPA-determined fuel economy for the non-hybrid engines ranges from 17 to 18 mpg in the city and 22 to 23 mpg on the highway, while the hybrid achieves 18 to 20 mpg around town and 20 to 24 mpg on the open road (it varies by drivetrain and trim). The towing capacity spans 8,300 to 12,000 pounds, while payload limits range from 1,485 to 1,940 pounds, depending on the trim and other specifications.
As the entry-level Tundra, the SR includes core features such as LED exterior lighting, single-zone automatic climate control, fabric upholstery, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, an aluminum-reinforced composite cargo bed, a power tailgate release, a rear power window with privacy glass, heated power side mirrors, a tilt and telescopic steering column, rear under-seat storage compartments, three front-row USB ports, and 18-inch steel wheels. The SR5 brings upgraded exterior treatments, an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar control, LED fog lights, selectable drive modes, adjustable cargo bed tie-down points, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Limited enters upscale territory with SofTex upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power front passenger seat with lumbar control, a towing hitch receiver with a wiring harness, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Platinum continues the increase in luxury thanks to additional comfort and convenience features like a power moonroof, leather seating surfaces, massaging front seats, heated and ventilated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a power tilt and telescopic steering column, a digital instrument cluster, upgraded LED headlights, rear door sunshades, a trailer backup guide, ambient cabin lighting, two second-row USB ports, wireless device charging, and 120-volt outlets in the cabin and cargo bed. The 1794 Edition mirrors the Platinum’s features but adds special exterior treatments and interior accents.
The TRD Pro targets off-road capabilities via a tuned suspension with FOX internal bypass shocks, crawl control, downhill assist control, and an electronic locking rear differential. It also has a power panoramic moonroof, SofTex upholstery, eight-way power front seats (heated and ventilated), additional exterior lighting, a trim-specific grille with an integrated light bar, exclusive exterior treatments, an aluminum front skid plate, front and rear mudguards, and 18-inch forged-aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires. The lush Capstone completes the Tundra range with semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, ten-way power front seats with massage, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, power running boards, a head-up display, and a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column. Other standard equipment for the Capstone includes sound-reducing glass for the windshield and side windows, a special grille, rear door sunshades, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 22-inch wheels.
Every 2025 Tundra comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front/rear parking sensors (with automatic braking) are optional on the SR5 and come standard on higher trims. A surround-view monitor is included as standard equipment on the Platinum, 1794 Edition, and Capstone, while it’s available as an option for the SR5 and Limited.
The Tundra’s infotainment system varies by trim. SR and SR5 models get an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims rise up to a 14-inch touchscreen, which is available as an option for the SR5. Both systems include wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The audio setup varies, with either a six- or nine-speaker system depending on the trim. A premium JBL audio system with a dozen speakers is standard on Platinum and higher and available for the Limited. All Tundra trims provide access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Toyota Connected Services, which includes remote features, superior voice recognition, and Cloud Navigation.
