The 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid continues to enhance the efficiency and performance of its ever-popular gas-only counterpart. The seven-trim lineup ranges from the practical LE and XLE, the rugged Woodland Edition, the performance-driven SE and XSE, and the comfort-focused XLE Premium and Limited. The model’s 1,750-pound towing capacity and 37.6 cubic feet of cargo space make it fantastic for road trips and weekend adventures, and 8.1 inches of ground clearance comes in handy in various situations. Plus, drivers can choose from multiple modes to maximize performance, fuel economy, or traction as needed for the situation at hand.
All trims above the base LE are eligible for a variety of optional packages to add upscale features to the respective standard equipment roster. For example, the Weather Package includes a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and rain-sensing wipers with de-icer, while the Convenience Package adds a moonroof and power liftgate to select trims. The higher trims qualify for the Advanced Technology Package, adding wireless charging and additional driver-assist features. As with any new Toyota, the 2025 RAV4 Hybrid comes with the ToyotaCare no-cost maintenance plan covering regular factory-scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections for two years or 25,000 miles, plus two years of 24-hour roadside assistance for unlimited miles.

2.5L 4-Cylinder Hybrid System
Standard All-Wheel Drive
The 2025 RAV4 Hybrid has seven trim levels: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Woodland Edition, SE, and XSE. Their powertrain brings together a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and three electric motors (two front and one rear), which produce a combined 219 horsepower and 163 lb.-ft. of torque. Toyota’s electronic on-demand all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) and electronically controlled continuously variable transmission are standard on every trim. A drive mode selector with settings for Sport, Eco, Normal, EV, and Trail Drive allows the operator to customize the vehicle’s performance to specific situations. Regardless of trim, the RAV4 Hybrid’s EPA-estimated fuel economy is 41 mpg around town and 38 mpg on the highway, with the exception of the Woodland Edition, which drops a tad to 38 mpg city and 35 mpg highway. Every trim has a 1,750-pound towing capacity.
The LE is fabric-upholstered with a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-way adjustable front passenger seat. It also gets LED projector headlights with automatic high beams, LED daytime running lights and taillights, a dual chrome-tipped exhaust, roof rails, two-zone automatic temperature control, rear HVAC vents, a 7-inch digital multi-informational gauge display, three USB ports, two 12-volt auxiliary power outlets, a day/night rearview mirror, a height-adjustable rear cargo-area deck board, a 60/40-split reclining fold-flat rear seat with a center armrest and cup holders, 17-inch 5-spoke light-gray metallic alloy wheels, and a remote keyless entry system (with lock, unlock, and panic functions), and remote illuminated entry.
The XLE adds embossed polygon-design seat inserts, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, heated power side mirrors with turn signals and blind-spot indicators, auto-on/off headlights, a cargo-area tonneau cover, two additional USB ports, and a Smart Key System with touch-sensor lock/unlock for the front doors and liftgate. The XLE Premium takes things further with SofTex upholstery, a leather-trimmed shifter and steering wheel, a power liftgate, a moonroof, LED fog lights, and 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with a dark metallic finish.
The Wilderness Edition stands out with a TRD-tuned suspension (complete with trail-focused struts, shocks, coil springs, and bump stops), 18-inch six-spoke bronze-colored TRD flow-formed alloy wheels with Falken all-terrain tires, and black exterior accents and badging. It’s well-outfitted for adventures thanks to trim-exclusive raised roof rails with cross bars, a rear activity mount, front and rear mudguards, all-weather floor mats and cargo liner, and a 120-volt AC power outlet in the cargo area.
The SE is enhanced with a sport-tuned suspension and blue-painted shocks, plus fabric seats with embossed inserts, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shifter, LED accent lights and turn signals, trim-specific blue stitching and interior accents, and 18-inch multi-spoke sport-alloy wheels with a black finish. The XSE has the same blue interior stitching and accents, but with SofTex upholstery. It also boasts heated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a HomeLink transceiver, vertical LED accent lights, and blue interior ambient lighting.
The Limited is fully equipped with heated and ventilated front seats, a driver’s seat with a two-position memory function, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, dark brown interior accents and stitching, and puddle lights built into the side mirrors. The optional upgrade of the panoramic glass roof – available for both the XSE and Limited – extends the standard moonroof.
Every RAV4 Hybrid is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. This advanced technology suite consists of full-speed range dynamic cruise control, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. A blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is added at the XLE level. The Limited adds front and rear parking assist with automatic braking (an optional feature on the XLE Premium and XSE). A panoramic view monitor with a 360-degree overhead view camera is an option for the XSE and Limited.
All trims get a backup camera with dynamic gridlines, a vehicle proximity notification system, trailer-sway control, an anti-theft system with an engine immobilizer, hill start assist control, traction control, enhanced vehicle stability control, and anti-lock brakes with brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, and SmartStop Technology.
The default infotainment system uses an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, to manage a sound system with six speakers, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The XSE and Limited move up to a 10.5-inch touchscreen (an option for the XLE Premium). The Limited has the most loaded setup thanks to a JBL audio setup with 11 speakers, a subwoofer, and an amplifier (these upgrades are optional for the XLE Premium and XSE). Every RAV4 Hybrid is set up for Toyota’s subscription-based Connected Services, giving drivers access to additional amenities, such as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
