Trim Levels, Powertrain, and Performance

The 2025 model comes in two trim levels, called Land Cruiser 1958 and Land Cruiser. Their gas-electric i-FORCE MAX powertrain puts a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine with a pair of electric motors and an 8-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. This powertrain provides an output of 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, up to 6,000 pounds of towing capacity, and EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 22 mpg city/25 mpg highway. Both trims have full-time 4WD with active traction control, a Torsen limited-slip center differential with locking feature, and a drive-mode selector with four settings: Normal, Eco, Sport, and Snow. As mentioned, the higher Land Cruiser trim has a stabilizer disconnect mechanism, a multi-terrain select system, and a sharper angle of approach than the 1958.

Notable Amenities

The Land Cruiser 1958 has fabric seating, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped shift lever, tri-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, six USB ports, a 12V auxiliary power outlet, a 120V AC power outlet in the rear cargo area, and 12 bottle/cup holders. Its exterior comes with rain-sensing windshield wipers with a de-icer, retro-inspired circular LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and fog lights, front and rear frame-mounted tow hooks, a front skid plate, 18-inch dark gray metallic alloy wheels, and a smart key system with remote keyless entry for all of the doors and the liftgate.

The original Land Cruiser changes its look with rectangular LED headlights, color-selectable LED fog lights by Rigid Industries, a gloss-black hood finisher, roof rails, running boards, and 18-inch matte-gray alloy wheels. a power rear liftgate. Its interior features include SofTex simulated leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, all-weather floor mats and cargo liners, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a multi-terrain monitor with front, side, and rear views. As the higher trim, it’s eligible for the optional Premium Package, which includes illuminated running boards, digital key capability, a power moonroof, wireless device charging, a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display, leather-trimmed seating, memory settings for the driver’s seat, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, a cooling box in the console, and a JBL premium audio system with an amplifier, a subwoofer, and 14 speakers.

Advanced Safety Tech

Both ‘25 Land Cruiser trims have a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and trailer merge warning, trailer sway control, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, and safe exit alert. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is also installed on both; it consists of proactive driving assist, dynamic radar cruise control, road sign assist, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, and automatic high beams. If the Land Cruiser trim is outfitted with the optional Premium Package, it gains lane change assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Every Land Cruiser has wireless versions of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus SiriusXM satellite radio, and access to Toyota connected services. While the 1958 pairs an 8-inch color touchscreen with a six-speaker audio system, the higher trim level is outfitted with a 12.3-inch color touchscreen and 10 speakers, which can be upgraded to a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system via the optional Premium Package.
