Trim Levels, Powertrain, and Performance

The ‘25 Corolla Hybrid gives buyers a choice of three trim packages: LE, SE, and XLE. Each of them carries a 138-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard across the whole lineup, but the LE and SE can be optioned with all-wheel drive (AWD). Outstanding fuel economy is this vehicle’s hallmark, with the LE and XLE rated for an EPA-estimated 53 mpg city/46 mpg highway with FWD; the LE with AWD returns 51 mpg city/44 mpg highway. The SE achieves an estimated 50 mpg city/43 mpg highway with FWD and 47 mpg city/41 mpg highway with AWD.

Notable Amenities

The LE includes remote keyless entry, fabric upholstery (in a choice of light gray or black), LED headlights with daytime running lights, LED taillights and brake lights, a 4.2-inch multi-informational display, automatic climate control, power side-view mirrors, four USB ports (two front/two rear), one 12-volt power outlet, and 16-inch steel wheels.

The SE is more appearance-driven with a gloss-black mesh grille, gray metallic sport side rocker panels and a color-keyed rear spoiler, a single exhaust with dual chrome tips, 18-inch alloy wheels, metallic cabin trim, sport seats with special fabric inserts, chrome-look interior door handles, and LED daytime running lights with accent lighting. It also adds a smart key system, heated power side-view mirrors, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The XLE goes back to 16-inch wheels (upgraded to alloy) and adds wireless smartphone charging, a power moonroof with sliding sunshade, SofTex simulated leather upholstery, heated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster.

Advanced Safety Tech

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is the proprietary suite of safety technologies and driver-assistance systems that comes standard on every ‘25 Corolla Hybrid. Its roster consists of dynamic radar cruise control, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, proactive driving assist with obstacle anticipation assist and deceleration assist, road sign assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, and automatic high beams. The XLE adds a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The default multimedia system for the LE and SE is an 8-inch color touchscreen paired with a six-speaker audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone/audio streaming, and a trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio. The XLE retains the standard stereo but upgrades to a 10.5-inch color touchscreen. It’s also the only trim that’s eligible to upgrade to a nine-speaker JBL premium audio system with subwoofer and amplifier.
