The three trims offered with the ’25 Corolla Hatchback are SE, Nightshade, and XSE. Each gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 169 horsepower; a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drivetrain complete the major mechanical picture. This model’s fuel economy estimates as determined by the EPA are remarkable, with the SE and Nightshade both achieving 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. With the XSE, fuel economy dips slightly to 30 city/38 highway.

The Nightshade is similar, but it’s differentiated by bronze-finished 18-inch alloy wheels and black exterior accents.

At the top of the hierarchy, the XSE builds off the base SE with SofTex upholstery, heated front seats with power adjustments for the driver, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, side mirrors with blind-spot warning indicators, and LED fog lights.

Standard across all three ’25 Corolla Hatchback trims is the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of advanced driving aids.
