Toyota pairs the Dynamic Force 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a continuously variable transmission in the FX for a powertrain that makes an efficient 169 horsepower, and EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 31 mpg city/39 mpg highway. This special Corolla grade is built on the TNGA-C platform (or Toyota’s New Global Architecture designed for compact vehicles), which includes standard lowering springs, a more rigid body frame, and an independent MacPherson-type strut front suspension with a stabilizer bar. Plus, the FX has sport-tuned electric power steering for optimized handling.
Thanks to the TNGA-C platform and lowering springs, this special edition Corolla has a more athletic stance than the standard model, as well as a host of FX-exclusive designs inside and out. Some of its exterior highlights include 18-inch satin-black alloy wheels with machined accents and black lug nuts, a black roof, black mirror caps, a more pronounced rear spoiler, gray metallic side rocker panels, black badging, and three available paint choices: Ice Cap, Midnight Black Metallic, and Underground. The cabin has exclusive Moonstone sport fabric seats with orange contrast stitching, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and four USB ports.
The 2025 Corolla FX is outfitted with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0), a suite of advanced driver-assistive and safety technologies. The TSS 3.0 suite includes proactive driving assist, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, road sign assist, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, and automatic high beams. For an extra level of protection, the optional SE Convenience Package adds blind spot warning and heated power side mirrors with rear cross-traffic alert.
The FX streams multimedia through a 10.5-inch color touchscreen and a 6-speaker audio system. It stays well-connected with Bluetooth hands-free phone, wireless Android Auto, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Plus, the trim carries a trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio to increase your listening library.
