The 2024 Corolla Cross lineup is made in three trim levels – L, LE, and XLE – all of which are equipped with a 169-horsepower, 4-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. The standard driveline is front-wheel drive (FWD), but all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional on every trim. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the FWD Corolla Cross is 31 mpg city/33 mpg highway; the AWD version returns 29 mpg city/31 mpg highway.
The L has LED projector headlights, daytime running lights, LED brake lights, heated power side mirrors, fabric upholstery, an 8-inch color touchscreen, a 4.2-inch color multi-information display, two USB-C charging ports, and 17-inch steel wheels. The LE gains remote keyless entry, touch-sensor locks for the front doors and liftgate, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, another pair of USB-C charging ports, black roof rails, an intermittent rear window wiper, 17-inch silver-colored alloy wheels, and privacy glass across the side, quarter, rear, and liftgate windows.
At the top of the lineup, the XLE gets a premium exterior with chrome window siding, LED lighting (daytime running lights/fog lights/taillights), 18-inch black-painted alloy wheels, and metallic paint surrounding the grille. Inside, there’s synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, a 7-inch fully digital gauge cluster, a leather-trimmed shift knob, an auto-dimming day/night rearview mirror, ambient interior lighting, and a cargo-area tonneau cover.
Every ‘24 Corolla Cross has Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 installed. This package of safety technologies includes automatic high beams, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, proactive driving assist, and road sign assist. Every trim also comes with a rear seat reminder to prevent your most important cargo from getting left behind. The LE adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and safe exit assist. At the XLE level, the backup camera gains dynamic gridlines; front and rear parking assist with automatic braking is also added.
An 8-inch color touchscreen infotainment system is standard in the 2024 Corolla Cross. It’s the command center for wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone, a sound system with six speakers, and SiriusXM satellite radio access (via a 3-month trial). The LE and XLE are eligible to upgrade to a premium nine-speaker JBL audio system with an amplifier and subwoofer. Every trim comes with trial subscriptions to the following Toyota connected services: Safety Connect (up to 10 years), Service Connect (up to 10 years), Wi-Fi Connect (up to 30 days/3 GB), and Drive Connect (capable). The LE adds a 1-year subscription to Remote Connect with select features, while the XLE has the same remote service 1-year trial without any restrictions.
