2020 Toyota Camry for Sale in Smithfield, RI
The iconic Toyota Camry returns for 2020 with some great new technology features and an additional trim level. Continuing its eighth generation, this well-rounded midsized sedan is once again one of the best values in the automotive industry. It has a powerful yet efficient engine, a comfortable and spacious cabin, and plenty of advanced multimedia technology and safety features to promote fun and safe driving, as well as a longstanding reputation for build quality, reliability, and longevity.
The 2020 Camry is available in six trim levels: L, LE, SE, XLE, XSE, and TRD. Although it’s the least expensive trim, the L still has plenty of great features, such as 16-inch steel wheels, LED headlights, a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Next, the LE gets alloy wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and 60/40-split folding rear seat, and two additional USB ports. The SE adds some sport-themed features, like a sporty exterior trim, sport-tuned suspension, and revised steering calibration. It also gets simulated-leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and automatic climate control. The XLE and XSE are similar to the LE and SE, respectively, but they add some luxury features such as the Audio Upgrade Package and leather upholstery with heated front seats. Finally, Toyota introduces a TRD version of the Camry, which is similar to the SE trim but with 19-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, a specially tuned suspension, driver-selectable driving modes, and an aerodynamic body kit.
The Camry’s base engine is a 2.5-Liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder that delivers 203 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. The XLE and XSE come standard with this engine but with a slight modification that ups the power by 3 horsepower and 2 lb.-ft. of torque. The XLE and XSE also offer an available 3.5-liter V6 engine that puts out 301 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque; this engine is standard on the TRD trim. Regardless of engine, all Camry models have an eight-speed automatic transmission. As the most efficient trim, the base L gets an EPA-estimated 29 mpg city and 41 mpg highway; the TRD with the V6 engine is on the opposing end with an EPA-rated 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway.
The 2020 Camry ranks high when it comes to overall safety, and it has the accolades to prove it. It received a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), as well as a 2019 Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. These impressive achievements are awarded to vehicles in the upper echelon of overall safety and crashworthiness. Diving into the specifics, even the L trim comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense, which includes great driver-assist features such as a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and dynamic radar cruise control. Other available active safety features (which are standard on the XLE and XSE) include full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control and a blind-spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert.
