2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid for Sale in Smithfield, RI

Overview

If there’s one thing you can trust in the automotive world, it’s a Toyota Camry. This popular midsized sedan has been rightfully popular since it was introduced in the 1980s. The world was excited when the hybrid version came out in 2007: now this affordable and reliable vehicle could be even more efficient. It also offered a more traditional appearance for those who wanted an alternative look to that of the preeminent hybrid, the Toyota Prius. With fuel economy ratings as high as 52 miles per gallon, the 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid continues to make drivers feel good about their lower carbon footprint and the cash they save at the pump.

Powertrain and Standard Features

The 2020 Camry Hybrid uses a powertrain consisting of a 176-horsepower (163 lb.-ft. of torque) 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline-burning engine and a 118-horsepower (149 lb.-ft. of torque) electric motor with a lithium-ion battery. The hybrid system’s net output is 208 hp. The transmission is an electronically controlled continuously variable (gearless) transmission with sequential shift mode, and there are four selectable drive modes: Normal, ECO, Sport, and EV.

Buyers of the Camry Hybrid have three trim levels to choose from. The base LE has a good number of desirable standard features, highlighted by dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry with push-button start, power side mirrors, and a windshield that’s designed to limit road noise. The SE gets paddle shifters on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, SofTex-upholstered seating, and special mesh-look interior accents. The XLE gets loaded with a sunroof, LED headlights and taillights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn-signal indicators, a deluxe rearview camera with dynamic grid lines, leather seating, heated front seats, rear-seat climate-control vents, a power-adjustable passenger seat, ambient interior lighting, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Technology for Connectivity and Safety

All of the latest infotainment features can be found in the 2020 Camry Hybrid. The LE and SE get the same multimedia system, which has a 7-inch touchscreen, six speakers, three USB ports, Bluetooth capability, SiriusXM satellite radio, and smartphone compatibility through both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The XLE’s system is enhanced with an 8-inch touchscreen and wireless device charging; these two features are optional on the other trims through the Audio Upgrade Package. The XLE has its own optional bundles, the Navigation Upgrade Package (a premium JBL audio system with nine speakers and integrated navigation) and the Driver Assist Package (a 10-inch-diagonal head-up display and 360-degree overhead monitor).

The Toyota Safety Sense P active safety technology suite is standard on all trims. It consists of lane departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beams, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, and full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control. The XLE trim gets a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert as well, and the two lower trims are eligible to add that feature. Intelligent clearance sonar can be added to the XLE only.
