The 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross is offered in three trim levels: the L, LE, and XLE. All are equipped with a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission. A front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) is standard, but all-wheel drive (AWD) is an option. With FWD, the Corolla Cross returns 31 mpg city/33 mpg highway, which drops to 29 city/31 highway with AWD. The maximum towing capacity regardless of trim is 1,500 pounds.
The L is equipped with fabric upholstery, a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, a four-way manually adjustable front passenger seat, two USB charge ports, a 4.2-inch customizable driver information display, LED exterior lights (projector headlights, daytime running lights, and brake lights), intermittent windshield wipers, matte-black heated power side-view mirrors, color-keyed outside door handles and rear spoiler, 17-inch steel wheels with silver covers, and black rocker body panels, overfenders, and grille.
The LE adds wireless device charging, a 7-inch customizable digital gauge cluster, a Smart Key System (remote keyless entry) with push-button start and touch-sensor lock and unlock on the front doors and liftgate, another pair of USB ports, auto on/off LED projector headlights with automatic high-beams, variable windshield wipers and intermittent rear windshield wiper, gloss-black heated power side-view mirrors with integrated turn-signal and blind-spot warning indicators, automatic single-zone air conditioning with rear-seat vents, black-painted roof rails, 17-inch silver alloy wheels, and privacy glass on the rear, side, quarter, and liftgate windows. It’s also eligible for the Moonroof Package, which includes a moonroof and a tonneau cover for the cargo area.
The XLE is loaded with heated front seats, SofTex upholstery, ambient interior lighting, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift boot, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, LED taillights, fog lights, turn signals with auto on/off, daytime running lights with auto on/off, a frameless day/night rearview mirror with a HomeLink universal transceiver, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, a rear seat fold-down armrest with two cupholders, satin-finish interior door handles, a cargo net and tonneau cover, 18-inch alloy wheels with black machined finish, and a black grille with a metallic paint edge. Optional upgrades for the XLE include an adaptive front-lighting system with auto-leveling and the Convenience Package (power liftgate and moonroof).
All three trim levels come with two safety technology groupings. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, proactive driving assist, full-speed range dynamic cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road sign assist. The Star Safety System includes enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and SmartStop Technology. All trims also feature a backup camera, rear seat reminder, hill start assist control, an anti-theft engine immobilizer, power door locks with shift-linked automatic lock and unlock, and a Safety Connect button in the overhead console. The LE and XLE’s safety upgrades include a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and safe exit alert. The XLE’s backup camera is enhanced with dynamic gridlines; that trim also adds front and rear parking assist with automatic braking.
Every 2025 Corolla Cross is equipped with an 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Access to Toyota’s subscription-based Connected Services is standard as well, including Cloud Navigation, remote vehicle access and engine start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and more. While an unbranded sound system with six speakers is standard issue, the LE and XLE can be upgraded with a premium JBL audio system with nine speakers, a subwoofer, and an amplifier.
