Toyota offers the Sequoia in five trims: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone. All Sequoias use the hybrid i-FORCE MAX powertrain, which features an electric motor between the gas-burning 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 and the 10-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain pumps out 437 horsepower and 583 pounds-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is the default, with four-wheel drive available. The ’24 Sequoia can tow up to 9,520 pounds (far more than the Chevy Tahoe or Jeep Wagoneer).
The RWD Sequoia has been rated by the EPA to achieve an estimated 21 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, making it a more efficient full-sized SUV than the Ford Expedition or Nissan Armada. Even with four-wheel drive, the Sequoia is rated to return 19 city/22 highway.
