Toyota markets the 2024 Corolla Sedan in four trim packages: LE, SE, Nightshade, and XSE. Regardless of your choice, you’ll get a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine set up with an efficient continuously variable transmission (CVT) that drives the front wheels. The Corolla has always been known for its fuel economy. According to the official estimations done by the EPA, the LE achieves up to 32 mpg around town and 41 mpg on the highway, while the higher trims return 31 city/40 highway.
The LE serves as a solid entry-level trim that’s stocked with a mix of basic equipment and features of convenience. That list includes remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, LED headlights, power-adjustable side mirrors, fabric-trimmed seats, four USB-C ports, and a 60/40-split folding rear seatback. Apart from its sportier appearance, the SE is upgraded with proximity keyless entry, heated side mirrors, push-button start, sport seats with fabric inserts, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Nightshade is equipped similarly but stands out with black exterior accents and striking bronze wheels. At the peak of the lineup, the XSE builds upon the SE’s features with a moonroof, side mirrors with blind-spot indicators, heated front seats with power adjustability for the driver, durable synthetic-leather upholstery, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and a wireless phone charger.
Every ’24 Corolla Sedan comes with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of advanced driving aids. This includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, proactive driving assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, road sign assist, and full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available for the LE, SE, and Nightshade, but it’s standard in the XSE.
This model year, all Corolla Sedan trims share the same infotainment system: an 8-inch touchscreen setup with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker audio system. For a top-quality audio experience, the Nightshade and XSE are eligible for a premium nine-speaker JBL sound system.
Toyota offers several upgrade packages for the first two 2024 Corolla trims. The LE Convenience Package will furnish its namesake trim with proximity keyless entry, push-button start, heated side mirrors with blind-spot indicators, and rear cross-traffic alert. The LE Premium Package has the same features, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wireless phone charge pad, and a moonroof. Similarly, the SE Convenience Package contains heated side mirrors with blind-spot indicators and rear cross-traffic alert, which are also included in the SE Premium Package. The SE Premium Package takes it a step further, though, by adding the wireless phone charger and moonroof.
