2021 Toyota Camry for Sale in Smithfield, RI
The Toyota Camry, which made its debut in 1983, is more than just a household name among midsized sedans. In nearly four decades of existence, this popular four-door has earned a reputation for build quality, reliability, and comfort. For the 2021 model year, the Camry shows off updated front-end styling, new color options, redesigned wheels for the XLE, and a redesigned lower fascia with a honeycomb grille and side vent inserts for the SE and XSE. Inside, new floating multimedia displays and herringbone-pattern seats are available.
Trims and Powertrain specs
The 2021 Toyota Camry is issued in six trim levels: LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XLE, XSE, and TRD. The standard engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 203 hp and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. A 3.5-liter V6 making 301 hp and 267 lb.-ft. of torque is available for the XSE and XLE (this upgraded engine is standard on the TRD). All trims have an eight-speed automatic transmission. Camrys with the base engine come with front-wheel drive but can be upgraded with all-wheel drive; those with the V6 get standard AWD.
The FWD LE returns an EPA-estimated 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway, while the FWD four-cylinder XLE and XSE both execute 27 city/38 highway. With AWD, the four-cylinders achieve 25 city/34 highway. The V6 XLE is officially rated for 22 city/33 highway, the V6 XSE for 22 city/32 highway, and the TRD for 22 city/31 highway.
Comfort and Convenience
The LE has 17-inch wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback, and a rearview camera. The SE adds a few sporty styling touches, 18-inch wheels, simulated-leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a sport-tuned suspension, and single-zone automatic climate control. The SE Nightshade delivers a more mysterious look through its blacked-out trim; a spoiler and distinct 18-inch wheels complete its unique appearance.
The XLE loses the sport-tuned suspension but introduces LED headlights, chrome exterior trim, keyless entry and push-button ignition, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, an enhanced driver information display, a wireless smartphone charger, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The XSE is similar, but it returns the sport-tuned suspension and adds 19-inch wheels, a gloss-black grille, dual exhaust, and metallic interior trim. The most athletic version of the 2021 Toyota Camry is the TRD. It’s enhanced with black-painted side mirrors and exterior trim, TRD-specific 19-inch wheels, an aerodynamic body kit with a front splitter, side skirts, a trunk-lid spoiler, special simulated-leather upholstery, red seat belts, a sport exhaust, and a specially tuned suspension. Summer tires are available as a factory option.
Some of the features in the XLE and XSE are available for the LE and SE as options. An available Cold Weather Package delivers heated seats, heated side mirrors, and a heated steering wheel, while the optional Driver Assist Package supplies a head-up display and ventilated front seats. A panoramic sunroof is available for the four-cylinder models and is standard with the V6s.
Safety and Technology
Every 2021 Toyota Camry comes with a comprehensive suite of standard active driver aids through the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ suite, which has been improved for this model year with state-of-the-art automatic emergency braking and an enhanced pre-collision system. This bundle also contains lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. A rear-seat reminder is also standard across the board. The XLE adds full-speed adaptive cruise control, which adjusts the speed of the vehicle to maintain a constant distance between you and the lead vehicle, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. The available Driver Assist Package gets it all, with a surround-view camera system and rear parking sensors.
The LE gets an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming capability, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, a USB media port, and two USB charge ports. The XLE upgrades to a 9-inch touchscreen (which is available on the LE and SE). The XLE, XSE, and TRD qualify for a premium nine-speaker JBL audio system; however, unlike the TRD, the XLE and XSE can both add integrated navigation.
