Trims and Mechanical Features
The ’20 Sienna is expected to be available in five trim levels: L, LE, SE, XLE, and Limited. All models will be equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 296 horsepower and 263 lb.-ft. of torque; this engine is to be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available on all trims except the L. Although it’s a large vehicle, the Sienna still delivers an impressive EPA-estimated 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, for a combined average of 22 mpg.
The entry-model L trim comes standard with 17-inch wheels, tri-zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera, a conversation mirror for communicating with second- and third- row passengers, automatic headlights, and Toyota’s Entune interface with some additional infotainment and audio entertainment features. The LE trim adds power-operated rear doors, heated mirrors, privacy glass, roof rails, upgraded cloth upholstery, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. With the SE trim, you will get a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery for the first two rows, heated front seats, and a sporty exterior styling. The XLE adds push-to-start ignition, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, and imitation-wood trim. The top-tier Limited model comes equipped with auto-dimming and power-folding mirrors, premium leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, front and rear sunroofs, and some additional audio upgrades and driver assistive technology.
Technology & Safety
Toyota has packed its minivan with modern entertainment technology to keep the entire family entertained on the road. Even the base-trim Sienna is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen with Toyota’s exclusive Entune infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth audio streaming, five USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system. Entune audio and Apple CarPlay allow for seamless smartphone integration so that you can make calls, send text messages, and change music while still keeping your eyes on the road. The Premium package (available on the SE, XLE, and Limited trims) upgrades to a premium JBL audio system, rear-seat entertainment system, navigation system, and Driver Easy Speak system, which allows rear passengers to hear the driver more clearly.
As you would expect from a family-friendly vehicle, all 2020 Sienna models are loaded with advanced safety features to ensure the safety of all occupants. All trims are standardly equipped with Toyota’s advanced airbag system, front and rear energy-absorbing crumple zones, and size-impact door beams for optimal protection in the event of a collision. All trims also come with active driver safety features, such as Toyota Safety Sense, which includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and dynamic radar cruise control. Additionally, all models include the Star Safety System, which features enhanced vehicle stability and traction control, an anti-lock brake system, and brake assist with smart stop technology. Safety Connect, which includes emergency assistance, a stolen vehicle locator, roadside assistance, and automatic collision notification, is also standard on all Sienna trims. Upgrading to the Premium Package also includes a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and a rear parking assist sonar.
